Vaccination Cats Only Veterinary Hospital
Vaccination
Our hospital solely administers immunizations without adjuvants. A vaccination's effectiveness is increased by the use of an adjuvant, which prompts the immune system to respond to the vaccine (i.e. to make antibodies to protect your cat in the future). Unfortunately, a lot of the adjuvanted vaccines have drawn criticism and may be to blame for cats developing a specific type of cancer called fibrosarcoma. Even though this fibrosarcoma linked to the vaccine is uncommon (occurring in roughly 1 in 10,000 cats), it is an aggressive tumor that is challenging to cure. Why take a chance? Due to this, no adjuvanted vaccines are used at our facility. The American Association of Feline Practitioners' (AAFP) vaccination recommendations are rigorously adhered to by us. The FVRCP and rabies vaccines are recommended for all cats by the AAFP.
